Reservoir Social Club comprised of local residents’ house plants coming together in a Reservoir shopfront to form a lively community of plants for the two weeks of the City of Darebin FUSE festival in 2021.

While I cared and watered the plants people had donated to the installation, the invitation for the contributors was to take a walk with a friend and visit their plant.

The experience was intended as a gentle way to rediscover being out in public space and socialising after the COVID-19 periods of isolation in Melbourne. The installation offered a gentle and playful way to contemplate togetherness and care through our house plants. The work was made in partnership with the East Reservoir Neighbourhood House.
